Successful Case of 2T/H Pet Food Production Line Project

Project details:

1. Production scale: 1 MHPH90*2 twin-screw extrusion line, equipped with 1 75KW pulverizer, 1 500KG/P mixer, 12 batching bins, 1 batching scale, 1 SKLYF2000 cooler and 1 packaging line , 1 set of palletizer;

2. This project uses two sprayings, one with vacuum spraying, and the other with normal pressure and flavoring.

The project began to install equipment in March 2019 and was completed and put into operation in September 2019. The factory produces cat food and dog food.

Extrusion — Factors Influencing the Processing Effects of Extrusion

The quality and efficiency of extrusion processing are primarily determined by feed raw materials and production process parameters. Key raw material factors include controlling moisture content (15%–27%) to balance energy consumption and product shape, utilizing starch composition and content for expansion and binding, managing fat levels (preferably below 8%) to maintain stability, and optimizing crude protein content to influence texture and equipment wear. Simultaneously, critical production parameters involve selecting appropriate grinding particle sizes to enhance digestibility and gelatinization, maintaining precise extrusion temperatures (ideally 140–160℃) to ensure proper cooking, regulating steam addition based on starch content, and controlling conditioning time to achieve sufficient material binding and cooking degrees.
